I CRAVE WATER!
I often joke (although I’m really serious) that I need a 5 gallon jug of water under my desk with a straw. I crave water. For many years I claimed “coke was my lifeblood”. Then, I also began drinking coffee. You know… the really good tasting stuff with lots of caramel or peppermint mocha creamer. I loved to drive through my favorite popular coffee shop and get a large “mocha blah blah blah”. So, basically, I was spending way too much money on things that were packed with empty calories and not doing me any good. But, I craved them.. & they tasted so good!
And then, in December 2013, I began to crave water. I no longer crave sodas or coffee. And, the health benefits of water are amazing! Here are just a few benefits of drinking water:
- Water Transports Nutrients Through Your Body.
- Water Helps Energize Your Muscles.
- Water Flushes Out Toxins.
- Water Helps Make Your Skin Beautiful.
Well, I don’t know about you… but each of those is something I need! I want my body to get the nutrients it needs to function its best. I want those nutrients flowing effectively to each cell of my body. My muscles need energy to function well and not be fatigued. Also, I want any toxins in my body to be gone…. flushed out. Toxins in your body can make you sick and achy if you don’t get rid of them. And finally, water helps make your skin beautiful. Hey, that’s just a great reason on it’s own. These are just a few of the many reasons we should drink water. And, as I said before… I now CRAVE WATER!
So, what changed for me in December 2013? What made me begin to CRAVE WATER and ditch the sodas and coffee? I would love to tell you all about it!
